As Chief Deputy, Captain Rose supervises the day-to-day
operations of the Sheriff’s Office. The three unit Lieutenants,
Field
Operations,
Investigations and
Corrections, report to
Captain Rose on the daily operational activities and any foreseeable service
needs. Working in conjunction, they are able to assure that the law
enforcement needs of the residents of Amherst County are meet.

Captain Rose began his career with
the Sheriff’s Office in 1972. During
his distinguished service he served in the Field Operations Unit as one of
the first field Sergeants. Latter he was promoted to Lieutenant and placed
in charge of the Corrections Unit. He was promoted to Captain when Sheriff
