Field Operations Main

The Field Operations Unit is the law enforcement component of the Sheriff’s Office. This unit is responsible for the initial response to all calls for service within Amherst County. Our Emergency Medical Services, Special Response Team and K-9 components supplement the Field Operation’s unit.



	Lt. Robinson supervises the Field Operations Unit. He started with the Sheriff’s Office in September 1992 with the Corrections Unit. In February 1994 he was assigned to the Field Operations Unit and by June 1997 he received a promotion to Sergeant. In 1995 he assisted the Sheriff’s Office in establishing the counties first SRT Unit. In January 1999, he received a promotion to Lieutenant of Field Operations. Lt. Robinson is an active member of the Sheriff's Office EMS program as a Cardiac Technician.
