The Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Amherst County Parks and Recreation, have put together the first of what we hope will become an annual FREE FAMILY MOVIE event called, “MOVIES IN THE PARK.” We will be showing a family move outside and we hope under the stars, in the Coolwell Recreation Center Amphitheater. These movies will begin at dark with the gates opening at 8:00 p.m. There will be a full service concession stand with POPCORN !!! candy and drinks. So please no outside food or drinks. Each show is FREE and open to the public. So bring your not so favorite blankets or lawn chairs, some bug spray and join us under the stars for “MOVIES IN THE PARK.” In the unlikely event of rain we will show the movie indoors in the Coolwell Recreation Center. This is a family activity so PLEASE . . . All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. No tobacco products No alcohol No outside food or drinks No coolers or large bags No umbrellas And PLEASE leave your four legged and no legged (snakes) family members at home. Coolwell Road is located off of Rt. 29 between Amherst Ford and the new Outback Motors and John Deer dealership. Follow Coolwell Road for approximately 1.3 miles. Coolwell Recreation Center is located on your right.
